Surprised by a Gown

It's not often my head is turned by a gown that isn't simple and monochromatic, but when I first saw this one, I literally gasped out loud. Naturally, I went and looked it up, and was more surprised to learn that it was a Vivienne Westwood. I'm not normally attracted to her gowns, nor to gowns that are inspired by flags (it's the Union Jack), but the way this is cut and draped is absolutely stunning, like a vintage watercolor abstract rendition come to life. Unfortunately, even at 70% off, I still can't afford a gown like this (and after all, where would I wear it!?). And now I see it's no longer available. But I can still admire, right? I guess tastes do change!
